The OME team were tasked to re-imagine the leaf spring design and to maximise comfort of a leaf sprung ute while safely allowing the driver to adapt to varying weight conditions without compromise. Traditionally, you were forced to chose one or the other but now with the Old Man Emu Parabolic Leaf Spring & Air Bag System, you can have both!

Parabolic Leaf Spring and Air Bag Kit gives you the flexibility to cater for varying load of up to 600kg. Therefore, whether it is tools during the week or a rooftop tent on the weekend; ARB’s Parabolic Leaf Springs and Air Bag Kit system has you covered and provides the new standard in comfort and weight carrying adjustability.

Taking the proven concept of a Parabolic Leaf Spring, OME have reimagined the design alongside the development of a new market leader Air Bag Kit. ARB are proud to deliver a truly engineered and integrated Parabolic Leaf Spring and Air Bag System that is both purposeful and safe for the vehicle.

An Air Bag Kit must be purchased with the Parabolic Leaf Springs.

Old Man Emu has engineered an all-new internal bump stop, which allows the Air Bag to be used unpressurised (0psi) so you can drive on it empty and inflate it when needed.

Engineered purge valve included with the Air Bag Kit allows control of venting or storing air in the bag with a simple turn

Control Versatility

The three ways of inflating and deflating the Air Bags in this kit are manually via the Schrader inflation valves, electronically via ARB Air Suspension Control or electronically via ARB LINX Vehicle Accessory Interface

Range of use

Each Air Bag can be used from 0-45psi, which results in 0-600kg weight carrying capacity

Fitment

Note: Existing GVM applications for the Toyota LandCruiser 70, 78 & 79 Series do not currently allow for the use of Parabolic Leaf Springs and an Air Bag Kit

Due to the second stage being removed on a Parabolic Leaf Spring, the Air Bag Kit is a mandatory fitment to ensure vehicle driveability & durability

What load options are there for the Parabolic Springs & airbags?

OME offer a ranger of springs to suit customers varying weight carrying needs from standard OE loads all the way up to 1000kg in the case of 70 Series. The air bag then allows the addition of another 600kg on top of that. So, to answer the question, there is an abundance of load options available!
If I have an on-board compressor, do I need LINX to control the airbag pressure?

No, you don’t. OME have developed a stand-alone air bag control module that works via your smart phone.

Do I need to have a compressor installed if I want Parabolic Springs & airbags?

It is highly recommended but not mandatory. By having on board compressor, the system is fully self sufficient and can be inflated and deflated to your hearts content. Where an on-board compressor is not installed inflation can be achieved by a portable air compressor or at a petrol station.
Can I get a GVM Upgrade with my Parabolic Springs & airbags kit?

At the time of writing no. OME are currently carrying out the relevant testing and compliance to get these kits added in to our GVM approvals. We will communicate as soon as this has been approved.
What applications do we have for the Parabolic Springs & airbags?

Our current range suits the 79 Single Cab / 79 Dual Cab & 78 Series Troop carrier.
