These terms and conditions apply to the use of ARB gift cards.
- Use
Upon purchase of an ARB gift card, a value is loaded onto it. Each time the ARB gift card is used to complete a transaction, the value of that transaction is automatically deducted from the value on it as it is swiped through the EFTPOS terminal and the transaction is approved.
The ARB gift card may be used to buy products or services at any ARB outlet, provided the value on the ARB gift card is sufficient to complete the transaction. The ARB gift card cannot be used to buy products and services online or when placing orders by mail or phone.
The ARB gift card cannot be redeemed for cash, reloaded, returned for a refund, have its balance consolidated onto another gift card or replaced after expiry. The ARB gift card is not legal tender, a debit or credit card, or a security.
The entire value of the ARB gift card does not need to be spent in a single transaction. The value on the ARB gift card may be partially redeemed. The remaining value on the ARB gift card is redeemable for future transactions. The remaining value on the ARB gift card is not redeemable for cash.
Keep the ARB gift card safe and secure. It is recommended to record the serial number (on the back) and keep that record separate from the ARB gift card.
- Expiry
The ARB gift card expires three (3) years after the purchase date. The expiry date of the ARB gift card can be checked here. Once the ARB gift card expires, it cannot be used and the unused value on the ARB gift card will not be refunded.
- Declined Transaction
If a transaction is declined, it may be because:
- there is insufficient value on the ARB gift card to complete the transaction (the value on the ARB gift card can be checked here);
- the EFTPOS network is off-line (in which case the transaction will need to be completed using another payment method or at another time when the EFTPOS network is not off-line);
- the ARB gift card is faulty or damaged (in which case contact ARB immediately); and/or
- the ARB gift card has expired (in which case the value on the ARB gift card as at the expiry date becomes ARB’s property).
- Lost, Stolen, Damaged or Faulty Cards
If the ARB gift card is lost or stolen or an unauthorised transaction is suspected, please immediately contact us. If you’re able to provide the serial number on the back, we may be able to stop the ARB gift card being used further and provide a replacement card. If the ARB gift card is damaged or faulty, please immediately contact us. If you’re able to provide the damaged or faulty card with the serial number on the back, we may be able to provide a replacement card. Any replacement card will have the same unused value as the original card (as at the replacement date) and the same expiry date as the original card. The ARB gift card is void if it is defaced, mutilated, altered or tampered with. ARB may (in its absolute discretion) undertake a verification and security check of a card if we suspect fraud.
